What is the Cox® Technic?

The Cox Chiropractic Technic is named after Dr. James M Cox, who developed a non-surgical approach to back pain relief and physical healing that is unlike other forms of chiropractic techniques you may be use to. In his development, Dr. Cox combined chiropractic principles with the osteopathic principles set forth by Alan Stoddard, DO, in his book, Manual of Osteopathic Technic.

The Cox Chiropractic Technic is a non-invasive, non-surgical and a no-force means of helping patients with difficult and painful back conditions.

The Cox Chiropractic Technic is directed at decreasing pressure between the vertebrae, open the spinal canal area by approximately 25% and widening the space between the vertebrae, making more room for the spinal nerves.

Patients who were treated 2-3 times a week for 3 weeks for relief of a disc herniation (confirmed with MRI) report 79% improvement in pain and 73% improvement in disability. 91% of all low back pain patients reported relief in less than 90 days of care.

This technique has been found to be particularly effective in treating people who are suffering from sciatica, herniated discs, and many painful and debilitating back and neck conditions.

The “Cox Technic” requires a highly sophisticated chiropractic table that is designed in sections, which can be moved during your treatments.

How Does It Help Disc Related Pain Conditions?
